After a lifetime of retail management and a love for international travel it finally became time to take that leap of faith and combine both to create Frieze. Started in 2002 in Ft. Lauderdale, we soon outgrew our 600 sq.ft. shop and 2 years later moved to a 2 story space 3 doors down from the original space. When the charm and creativity of Savannah called in 2012, we "folded the tent" and headed north to our present spot on York Street overlooking beautiful Wright Square in downtown historic Savannah, Georgia. We enjoy welcoming visitors from around the globe.
You will find us in a storefront sitting on top of Savannah's first cemetery on Wright Square. Wright Square is one of the first original squares of Savannah dating back to 1733. We've gathered a rare and varied collection of gifts and home accents from exotic destinations around the world. Jewelry and vintage artifacts from Tibet. Buddhas from China and Myanmar as well as handcrafted items from Japan, India, Bali and beyond.
We've always been drawn to the originality and beauty of anything handmade and are always on the lookout for Fair Trade pieces. Beaded bracelets from Nepal, items made from recycled vintage Japanese silk kimonos, and woven handbags from Cambodia are just a few of the Fair Trade goodies on hand.
