Balinese Lidded Jar

Handbeaded over a sturdy rattan jar. Beadwork is a small cottage industry in Bali, done mostly in the home. I found all my pieces from various artists showcased in a little storefront with no electricity outside of Ubud - you can see how they organize the different colored beads in recycled soda bottles. Any minute imperfections add to the charm. Large pieces like this can take upwards of a week to complete. Measures 10.5” wide, 9.5” high
