Balinese Lidded Jar

Handbeaded over a sturdy, woven framework. Beadwork is a small cottage industry in Bali, done mostly in the home. I found all of my pieces from various artists showcased in a small storefront with no electricity outside of Ubud. Notice how they organize the various glass beads in recycled water bottles. Any minute inconsistencies add to the charm. A piece this size can tak up to 3 days to complete.                  Measures 7” high, 8” wide.
