Tibetan Conch Shell

Vintage Tibetan Conch Shell, 1950’s, possibly earlier, one of the 8 Auspicious Symbols in Tibetan Buddhism. Embellished with heavily embossed designs in coin silver of animals running through a lush forest and also coral and turquoise cabochon stones. The conch represents the fame of Buddha’s teachings that spread in all directions, like the sound of the conch shell.  Measures 8.5”
